Lloyds Eco Home Reward
Lloyds Bank customers taking out a new mortgage, additional borrowing, or switching to a new deal after 31 July 2024 may be eligible for this offer. The home improvement must be completed within 12 months of your mortgage application or deal change.
Alongside the £2,000 cashback, customers with Lloyds Bank products — including mortgages, savings, investments, or insurance — can also receive a £100 energy credit when they install a heat pump through Octopus.

Barclays Greener Home Reward
The Greener Home Reward is available exclusively to Barclays residential mortgage customers and limited to one claim per mortgage. To qualify, the property must be your main residence, and the installation must be carried out by a TrustMark-approved installer.
Cashback will be paid into the same account used for mortgage payments, 30 days after installation. You’ll need to submit your claim within three months of making the final payment for your installation.

Halifax
Halifax mortgage customers applying for a new mortgage, additional borrowing, or switching to a new deal after 31 July 2024 may be eligible for this offer.
To qualify, the home improvement must be completed within 12 months of applying. In addition to receiving £2,000 cashback, Halifax customers with borrowing, savings, investment, mortgage, or insurance products can also receive a £100 energy credit when installing a heat pump through Octopus.

Santander
Santander customers may qualify for the Greener Homes cashback if they apply for additional borrowing specifically for energy-efficient home upgrades, or if they take out a home improvement loan as an existing mortgage or personal current account holder.
The improvements must be carried out at the property linked to the mortgage or current account.

Are there any grants available?There are limited grants in certain areas for low income house holds. It’s worth contacting your local council to understand their availability.

Any other financial help?Currently the one incentive the government is offering to assist with affordability is any Solar PV installations is VAT free, providing a 20% saving. There are also banks and building societies that offer 0% and low interest rates

How long does a solar installation take?Largely depends on the size of the installation, but 90% of our installs will be completed within 2 days. Scaffolding is usually up a week around the installation dates

What size solar system do I need?One of our team will spend time to understand your personal requirements, but will largely base your system to meet your current and expected energy needs whilst taking into consideration the size, shape and orientation of your roof. Our skilled team will help talk through this process in detail following an enquiry.

Do I need a battery with my solar system?We find that 95% of our customer choose batteries. The prices and durability have improved significantly over the last few years and although it adds cost to the upfront investment you often find an improved return on investment. This is because you can charge the batteries at night off-peak when the sun isn’t shining so bright and use that cheap electricity in the day.

How long do solar panels and batteries last and how do you maintain?Our solar panels come with a 25 to 30 year warranty period and require very little maintenance. The rain does most of the work and if they do need a clean, most window cleaners will do this for you.

Will solar panels work on cloudy days?They won’t be as effective on cloudy days, but as long as there is day light they will be producing electricity.
